DJ Skweez has been a sweetheart on the London, Brighton and international underground club scene for over 15 years. Above ground she has played a 2 year residency at the infamous Ocean Rooms (Brighton), the Zap club (Brighton), followed by Bagleys (London), the Crypt (London) and residency at the Medicine Bars (London)…. Elsewhere, Skweez has played many renowned clubs and large private events such as the Bjork after party in Bangkok and the Mardi Gras after party in Sydney. Now based in Ibiza, she is fast becoming the most sought after female DJ on the island.

 

Signed to Loaded Records as one half of the dynamic producing duo, ‘Outsiders’, Skweez has recently enjoyed a number 2 spot in the UK dance chart with her house remix of 'Keep the Fires Burning', featuring Amanda Wilson. When not DJing or producing, Skweez has sound engineered on prominent live music tours such as ‘Ladysmith Black Mambazo’ and ‘Amampondo’ and recorded the track ‘Yehlisa N’umoya Ma Afrika’ with reached number 1 in the world music charts.

 

It is DJ Skweez’s background in recording and producing that makes her approach to DJing both eclectic and avant garde. She views mixing as an important art form and revels in bringing new layers to otherwise standard sets. With a repertoire ranging from progressive, deep, vocal, latin and soulful house to electro, funk, soul, jazz and new disco - every set Skweez does, feels like a true musical journey that has been lovingly tailored for her crowd.
