Manfred Dierkes Trio

After his successful solo album release in 1999: ‘It’s About Time’ (Acoustic Music Records), accomplished singer, Manfred Dierkes, set up the Manfred Dierkes Trio – offering a fusion of Jazz, Swing and Latin American rhythms.

His trio programme focuses on adaptations of Broadway classics, Bossa Novas and Jazz standards.

Predominantly an acoustic band, the Manfred Dierkes Trio is a refreshing balance of musical performance paired with a strong dialogue with their audience.

All the PA systems are installed and operated by the band itself, with close consideration to the venue’s acoustic needs. By doing so, the band adds great flexibility to the flow of your event without blocking potential. An additional microphone for speeches, as well as working in play back tracks, can be operated by the band at no added charge.

Manfred’s musical accomplices:

Mario Würzebesser is one of Germany’s best known drummers. His reputation is founded in collaborations with “Yams”, and productions with Reinmar Heinschke and Jens Sale. His courageous combination of Classical and Jazz qualified him as a drum professor at Berlin’s Hochschule für Musik HfM - Hanns Eisler.

The trio’s additional pulse is given by bassist Michael Waterstraat. Any regular on Berlin’s Salsa scene will have spotted this un-typically blonde and fair-skinned bass player at numerous Salsa concerts over the years. With his years of experience across many genres, he’s the man to give the trio a wonderful “earthy” touch.

(The Manfred Dierkes Trio can also be booked with an additional singer.)
